A critical part of Local Government 2030's two convenings was the work of our Super Delegates. These are individuals distinguished in their careers who have worked to advise our Delegates on their project work, especially over the last 14 months between the convenings in Omaha and Phoenix.
Kim Nelson UNC Master of Public Administration (MPA) played a critical role in helping shape the project processes and advising the initiative overall.
Aaron Deslatte O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs helped to keep us on track with the initiative overall.
David Mitchell University of Central Florida joined as a Super Delegate this year, helped to advise the Resilient Workforce project team and attended the Phoenix convening.
Five Super Delegates (photo below) were with us from the beginning starting in the Spring of 2022 and have continued to support our projects teams at Convening 1 in Omaha, throughout 2022 and completed their service assisting their project teams at Convening 2 in Phoenix.
Craig Owens, City Manager City of Lawrence, KS started advising our General Administration team in Omaha and transitioned to support our Communications Continuum project team.
Talia Lomax-O'dneal, Deputy Finance Director, Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County starting advising our Finance team in Omaha and transitioned to support our Communications Continuum project team.
Kimberly Richardson, Assistant City Manager, City of Peoria, Illinois started as the advisor for all the Super Delegates in Omaha and transitioned to support our Resilient Workforce project team.
Aimee Kane, Equity Officer, City of Boulder started as a Super Delegate to our Administrative Services team in Omaha and transitioned to support our Promised Pathways project team.
Sue Schwartz, FAICP, Director of Planning, City of Greensboro started as a Super Delegate for our Planning team and transitioned to support our Communications Continuum project team.
